The amount of tarnishing (oxidisation) that occurs is dependant on the skin and care habits of the wearer. Tarnishing is therefore not a manufacturing fault. Tarnishing, however is not a problem and can be easily resolved by using a microfiber polishing cloth to clean your silver jewellery. To refresh the lustre of your gold jewellery, simply mix some non-toxic soap into a bowl of warm water, dip your jewellery into and then proceed to gently scrub the pieces using a soft brush. Here are some tips to restore the lustre of your gold plated jewellery. Please avoid spraying perfume and other sprays while wearing your gold- plated jewellery. Make sure you wait until your body is dry from lotion or creams before wearing the gold plated jewellery. Oil, sweat, nail polish, perfume and chlorine can all react with the plated jewellery causing it to tarnish. Please remove your jewellery before you exercise, swim and other activities where these substances may be involved After wear, clean your jewellery with a cotton ball or a soft cloth which will remove any dirt and dust. Use a soft jewellery cloth NOT a polishing cloth as this could conflict with the plating.
