The phone is telephone line powered, eliminating the need for batteries, and includes a blue off-hook LED indicator. It operates over an extended temperature range of -30°F to 170°F and can be flush-mounted using the included rough-in box or surface-mounted with an optional Viking VE-5×5 Surface Mount Box.
