Unlike its predecessor, the Qi35, TaylorMade endowed the Qi4D with a much more traditional, player-preferred profile. The re-engineered profile also produces increased club head speed, which in turn increases ball speed, a byproduct of the driver's improved aerodynamics developed through advanced simulations. Regarding adjustability, the Qi4D's Trajectory Tuning System, comprising four interchangeable sole weights, allows players to dial in their preferred shot shape, trajectory, and mixture of speed and stability. The inherent benefits of carbon, compared to the titanium used across the rest of the industry, are vast, including a significant reduction in the face's weight. Typically, shots struck low on the generate overspin, ballooning upwards, and shots hit high on the face cause underspin, falling out of the sky quickly. By normalizing spin rates from the top of the face to the bottom, the improved roll radius dramatically reduces the distance-killing effects of mishits.
